Many people in the last two hundred years have discovered the wonder of homeopathy.
There are most probably over a hundred thousand American homeopaths, millions of Indian homeopaths, hundreds of thousands of South American homeopaths, and tens of thousands of European homeopaths.
This list does not include the many hundreds of thousands of homeopaths from other countries, including Iran, the Far East, the Middle East - in fact homeopathy has spread to every country in the World - and this list does not include any of the many millions practicing homeopathy today.
This homeopathic history project is focused on the hidden history of Europe, as told by the homeopathic journals and publications which are, to some extent, only now coming to light with the advent of Google.

Pilgrim was an American Veterinary Surgeon who converted to homeopathy, and in the 1860s and 1870s was the only graduated Veterinary Surgeon in Brooklyn, where he worked at the Williamsburgh Homeopathic Veterinary Infirmary.
R T Reep was on the Board of Management of the London Homeopathic Hospital in 1856, and a colleague of Henry Goaz and George Hallett in 1860.
Emil Rosazewsky was a student of Samuel Hahnemann, and a member of Samuel Hahnemann’s Provers Union.
Rothsanel was an assistant of Friedrich Wilhelm Karl Fleischmann at the Vienna Homeopathic Hospital
John Rush wrote The Handbook of Veterinary Homeopathy, The Homeopathic Veterinary Physician in 1854, and John and W Rush are mentioned in The veterinary vade mecum by R P G Lord in 1875, and they also contributed to it. Of interest: W Rush was also a homeopathic Veterinary Surgeon.
The Lung Disease of Cattle; or pleuro pneumonia cured by homeopathy, Henry Turner 1856 discussed some work done by William Haycock, who first noticed this disease in 1842, George Edward Allshorn, Charles W Luther and John Rush, who also had experience treating this disease.
Farmers had been losing thousands of cattle to this disease, Charles W Luther estimated that 6 out of every 10 cattle so affected could be cured. Peter Stuart also was using homeopathy at this time and treated up to 180 cows with this disease, saving about 130 of them. George Edward Allshorn used aconite and bryonia and estimated he had saved 17 out of every 20 cows he treated.

Samuel Stratten MD (licence as assistant apothecary granted 1.9.1815; Licentiate 1823) was an Irish orthodox physician who practiced in Dublin. He was born in Armagh, and then apothecary to the Meath Hospital by 1820-23. Stratten entered private practice in 1825, temporary physician at the Cork Street Fever Hospital in 1831, and in 1832-?1835, he is listed as Professor of Materia Medica and Pharmacy at the Apothecaries Hall in Dublin. In 1837, he is listed as a Licentiate in Physic at the College of Physicians at 19 William Street (today’s South William Street), though this is the last entry, so did he die, emigrate or retire afterwards? The first English translation of Samuel Hahnemann’s Organon was put together by Charles H Devrient and edited by Samuel Stratten in Dublin in 1833. Samuel Stratten explained in the preface that he was first acquainted with homeopathy in 1828, when he met a Russian physician. An ‘… accidental interview with a Russian physician in 1828…’ This Russian physician must have been using a French or German version of the Organon, as the Russian version did not appear until 1835, (the French version was printed in 1824, though three German versions printed in 1810, 1819 and 1824 were also available). Stratten immediately procurred Samuel Hahnemann’s Materia Medica Pura. J A F Theodor Trager ? 1845 was originally from Prussia, was active in Austria. He worked in the Prussian miliary studs for years as a homoeopathic veterinary surgeon, but then turned to Austria. He was offered the post of the chief veterinary surgeon over the whole Emperor’s military studs, which however was blocked by the Vienna Veterinary Faculty.
